He specifically called on the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to take immediate action in response. Joining in on the condemnation, both Egypt and Turkey have expressed serious concern over the move, stating that it would only serve to solidify the illegal occupation and further diminish any chances for achieving peace in the region.
