Typhoon Devastates Philippines – 8 People Killed

Manila, situated in Asia, is one of the countries hit by natural disasters. Last week, Typhoon Kalmaegi struck, causing immense damage to the Philippines. The typhoon, formed in the Pacific Ocean, devastated countries like the Philippines, Vietnam, among others. In the Philippines alone, 224 people lost their lives due to the storm. Currently, another storm named Phongvong is brewing in the Pacific Ocean, heading towards the Philippine archipelago. Aurora province in the Philippines has already been crossed by the storm. As it crossed Aurora and other provinces like Cagayan Valley, Samar, intense rainfall and strong winds lashed these regions, causing flooding in various areas. Heavy rainfall resulted in landslides, inundating villages and towns. The storm led to the evacuation of over 15,000 people in relief centers. 400 planes were grounded due to the situation.
