UAB refuses to join global stabilization force in Gaza after war ends

On Monday, the United Arab Emirates (UAB) confirmed that it will not take part in a potential global stabilization force in Gaza after the conflict between Hamas and Israel comes to an end. This decision was communicated during the Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate forum by Emirati presidential adviser Anwar Gargash, stating that UAB does not see a clear framework for the stability force. The initiative, coordinated by the U.S. as part of President Donald Trump’s regional peace plan, aimed to involve Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey as mediators in the deal. However, Israel opposed Turkey’s participation and Jordan decided against deploying its troops to the region. While the force was intended to enforce international law and not supervise the unlawful Israeli occupation, concerns were raised regarding the absence of explicit Palestinian consent for foreign troops entering occupied Palestine.
