The UK, France and Germany have jointly declared their intentions to reinstate UN-endorsed sanctions against Iran due to apprehensions regarding the country’s nuclear weapons program. These sanctions are set to be reintroduced within 30 days through a ‘snapback’ mechanism, a process aimed at swiftly reinstating punitive measures. The trio of European powers, also referred to as the E3, are taking this unified stance following growing unease over Iran’s alleged pursuits in the nuclear realm.
