UN accuses Iran of developing nuclear weapons: Security Council reinstates sanctions

The United Nations reinstated an arms embargo and other sanctions against Iran on Saturday, accused of developing nuclear weapons, which Tehran denies. Britain, France, and Germany triggered the reinstatement of these sanctions at the Security Council, accusing Iran of violating a 2015 agreement originally reached between Iran, Britain, France, Germany, the United States, Russia, and China. The agreement aimed to limit Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for lifting economic sanctions.
