US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has ordered that Iranian representatives are only allowed to move between their hotel and the UN headquarters, stated Tommy Pigott, Deputy Spokesperson for the US State Department. ‘We will not allow them to engage in luxury shopping while they are here,’ Pigott added. This restriction is part of the heightened security measures in place during the UN General Assembly meeting.
