US launches new attacks against boats in the Pacific, leaving 14 dead

United States Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced on Tuesday (28) that the country conducted attacks on four boats in the Pacific. In a post on the social media platform X, Hegseth stated that the boats were operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations trafficking narcotics in the Eastern Pacific. ‘The four boats were known to our intelligence apparatus, transiting known drug trafficking routes and carrying narcotics,’ he said. He added that 14 people were killed in the attacks and one survived. ‘All attacks took place in international waters, with no American forces being harmed,’ the American confirmed. Hegseth stated that ‘eight male narcoterrorists were onboard the boats during the first attack. Four male narcoterrorists were onboard during the second attack. Three male narcoterrorists were onboard during the third attack.’ Regarding the survivor, Hegseth mentioned that US authorities initiated standard search and rescue protocols, with Mexican authorities accepting the case and assuming responsibility for coordinating the rescue operation. The Defense Secretary also claimed that the ‘narcoterrorists’ have killed more Americans than Al-Qaeda and will be treated accordingly. ‘We will track them down, disrupt their networks, and then hunt them down and kill them,’ he stated.
