Eight Indian chemical and petrochemical trading companies have been included in the US state department’s sanctions lists. Among them are Mumbai-based firms CJ Shah & Co, Chemovick, Mody Chem, Paarichem Resources, Indisol Marketing, Haresh Petrochem, and Shiv Tex. These sanctions are part of the broader Iran-related sanctions imposed by the US against nearly 100 individuals, entities, and vessels. The sanctions target those allegedly involved in Iran’s energy sector and aim to exert pressure on Iran.
