Television presenter Ione Borges passed away at the age of 73. Claudete Troiano, also a presenter and close friend of Ione, announced the sad news. Claudete did not disclose the cause of death in her post. She simply expressed sorrow and reminisced about their early days together in television. ‘Together, on television, we built a history that crossed generations and touched the lives of so many people,’ Troiano wrote in the caption of a photo gallery. The two shared hosting duties on ‘Mulheres em Desfile,’ a former TV Gazeta show in the 1980s. For 16 years, they hosted the show together and became known as ‘partners.’ Starting in 1996, Ione Borges had her own solo show. She then hosted ‘Pra Você’ from 2002 to 2009, also on Gazeta. Her last show was ‘Manhã Gazeta’ from 2009 to 2010. ‘We shared laughs, emotions, learnings, and above all, lived moments of true happiness. Today I say goodbye with a heavy heart, but full of gratitude. Thank you, my beautiful and eternal partner. You live on in my memory, in my affection, and in the history of our communication,’ she concluded.
