Women and Iran in the film: Valdarno cinema in full swing

Arezzo, October 9, 2025 – The 43rd edition of the ValdarnoCinema Film Festival is in full swing in San Giovanni, with many guests participating. The program runs until October 11 and features titles from around the world, including 26 competing films, both feature-length and short films, documentaries and animations. The festival opens with a focus on the struggle against violence against women and the role of women in Iranian society. The event includes a special meeting with the jury president, Zoya Shokoohi, as well as discussions with the Italo-Iranian director Sara Hourngir and director Emanuela Mascherini.
