Governor Romeu Zema (Novo) once again blamed President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) for the 50% tariffs imposed by the United States. The governor made the statement after a meeting with nine other governors, all from right-wing political parties, where he criticized Lula’s stance on using a different currency for BRICS transactions. Zema pointed out that this and other actions towards certain countries have not been well-received by the USA.
