Every November 10th, Indonesia commemorates Heroes Day to pay homage to the fighters for independence. This moment serves as a reminder for future generations to not forget the sacrifices made by these heroes in the struggle against colonization. Their fighting spirit is a source of inspiration to cultivate love for the homeland and national pride.
There are many ways to rekindle nationalism on Heroes Day, from flag ceremonies, social activities, to creating literary works on the theme of struggle. Heroes Day poems are one of the most touching ways to remember the heroes’ contributions. Through meaningful words, poems can evoke emotions, ignite spirits, and teach the values of courage and sacrifice.
