3 PSM Makassar Players Potentially Absent Against PSBS Biak, Here’s Why

Three PSM Makassar players may potentially be absent when facing PSBS Biak in the ongoing Super League 2025/2026. The trio consists of Muh Ardiansyah, Ananda Raehan, and Ricky Pratama. They might be missing as they are currently in a training camp with the Indonesian National Team. The Garuda Muda training camp schedule is also aligned with friendly matches against Mali on November 15 and 18, 2025.

The PSM Vs PSBS match is scheduled for Friday, November 21, 2025. Referring to the schedule, these three PSM players actually have the opportunity to join the squad. However, the Head of the National Team Body (BTN) Sumardji stated that the Indonesian U-22 National Team will continue their training camp after facing Mali. Training will be conducted leading up to the SEA Games 2025.

“So according to our letter, PSSI sent letters to each club starting from Ivar Jenner’s club and the others, we want them to be together until the SEA Games in December,” Sumardji told journalists as reported by detikSport. “So in this current situation, they stay united. Once again, we want not only during FIFA Matchdays but also until after we finish this training, finish the training camp, continue until the SEA Games activities,” he added.

On the other hand, Sumardji still leaves the possibility for players to return to their respective clubs. However, Sumardji advised that only players who are truly needed by their teams should return. “Except for friends in Liga 1 or the Super League who are needed as main players. Core players. Please. But if they are on the bench, we kindly ask them not to (return to the club),” stated Sumardji. “Why? Because we want to mature this team in terms of mental, discipline, physical, and teamwork. Chemistry. That is crucial,” he added.

It is worth noting that among the three PSM Makassar players, Ananda Raehan plays a vital role in the midfield of PSM. He is often a key player alongside Akbar Tanjung and Gledson Paixao. Meanwhile, the other two, Ardiansyah has not played this season, and Ricky Pratama was a key player in Bernardo Tavares’ era, but has not played in the last two matches under new coach Tomas Trucha.
