3,000-Year-Old Fortress Discovered in Egypt Linked to Exodus Story

AN enormous 3,000-year-old fortress in Egypt has been discovered along the historic military road in the biblical Exodus. The site was found in Sheikh Zuweid, a town in North Sinai, close to the modern border with the Gaza Strip and dates back to the New Kingdom period, spanning approximately 1550 to 1070 B.C. The ancient site is situated on the trade and military route known as the “Way of Horus,” linking Egypt with the northern empires of Syria, Anatolia and Mesopotamia.
