The incident occurred when the girl and her family were fleeing their home near a cornfield, and a herd of elephants approached. Citra suffered severe head injuries and spent three days in a coma before passing away. The elephants, numbering ten, caused havoc in the area, leading to the fatal encounter. The local authorities are now focused on guiding the elephants back to their natural habitat to ensure the safety of residents.
