9 Faculties at UI Have New Deans, Here is the List!

Nine out of 16 Faculties at the University of Indonesia have new deans. Who are they and which faculties are they leading? These names were selected from 40 candidates who went through a selection process and comprehensive assessment since August 2025. The names were announced on Tuesday (25/11/2025) at the UI Science Techno Park building, in a release received on Wednesday (26/11/2025). The nine names and the faculties they lead are: Prof Dr dr Anna Rozaliyani, MBiomed, SpP(K) – Faculty of Medicine (FK) Prof Dr Tito Latif Indra, SSi, MSi – Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Dr Untung Yuwono, SS – Faculty of Humanities (FIB) Dicky Pelupessy, SPsi, MDS, PhD – Faculty of Psychology Prof Evi Fitriani, MA, MIA, PhD – Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Prof Dr Indri Hapsari Susilowati, SKM, MKKK – Faculty of Public Health (FKM) Prof Dr Eng Wisnu Jatmiko, ST, MKom – Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom) Dr Safrin Arifin, MSc – Vocational Education Program Prof Apt Silvia Surini, M PharmSc – Faculty of Pharmacy. ‘This decision is not just about choosing faculty leaders, but also ensuring that the University of Indonesia has figures who can bring excellence in education, innovative research, and real contribution to society,’ said UI Rector, Prof Dr Ir Heri Hermansyah, ST, MEng, IPU. Heri mentioned that this appointment is the result of a rigorous, transparent, and merit-based selection process. The selected Deans and Directors have shown a deep understanding of the direction of their faculties’ development, as well as a strong commitment to integrating the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in leadership practice. The selected Deans are expected to be role models in carrying out UI’s three main pillars: education, research and innovation, and community service. They are expected to develop a productive academic ecosystem, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, ensure that research and innovation outcomes are beneficial to the public, and accelerate UI’s transformation into an Excellent and Impactful institution. The selection of the nine Dean and Director names is the culmination of a selection process involving administrative verification, public input, and presentation of vision, mission, and work programs to UI leadership. The candidates also presented work programs covering academic development, strengthening research and innovation, and real contributions to society. UI also involved panelists with substantive competency in higher education governance, faculty management, or relevant academic fields related to the candidates. They came from various backgrounds, such as senior academics across faculties, higher education management experts, industry professionals, and leaders with a track record of leadership in research and innovation. The panelists involved in this selection were: Ir Irfan Setiaputra, Prof Dr derSoz Gumilar Rusliwa Somantri, Prof dr Usman Chatib Warsa, SpMK, PhD, Tri Djoko Santoso Dulrachman, Prof Dr Bambang Wibawarta, SS, MA, Dr Atnike Nova Sigiro, Prof Dr drg Ella Nurlaella Hadi, MKes, Prof Dr Ir Eko K Budiardjo, MSc, Mohammad Sumarno. Before being appointed as Dean and Director, the candidates went through a selection process that began in August 2025. Registration took place from September 1-19, administrative verification in early October, and a period for public input from October 13 to November 13. The final stage, which included candidate presentations to UI leadership and panelists, took place on November 24-25, 2025, as the basis for the final decision.
