Afghanistan was hit by a magnitude 6 earthquake last Monday, followed by another 5.5 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday. The provinces of Kunar and Nangarhar suffered severe damage, with roads being destroyed and hindering rescue operations. As a result, more than 1,400 people are currently stranded in the affected areas, requiring urgent assistance. The army has been deployed to engage in rescue operations and provide aid to the affected population.
