A magnitude 6.2 earthquake hit southeastern Afghanistan on Thursday, as reported by the German Research Centre for Geosciences. The quake occurred at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles) in the region. This marked the third tremor in the area following a devastating quake on Sunday, which claimed the lives of over 2,200 individuals, making it one of Afghanistan’s deadliest quakes in recent years.
