Africa’s Climate Summit Holds Strong Against Trump’s Fossil Fuel Agenda

Approximately 25,000 climate advocates have gathered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for the second African Climate Summit (ACS2), despite the adversarial approach of US President Donald Trump towards climate issues and aid support. The inaugural ACS was held in Nairobi, Kenya, where discussions revolved around the impact of climate change on Africa’s vulnerable populations.
