After being caught, Nikolas reacts and accuses Globo of ‘serious privacy violation’

After being caught by TV Globo disobeying a Supreme Federal Court (STF) measure, federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) accused the broadcaster of ‘serious privacy violation’. The parliamentarian visited former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) on Friday (11/21), and a Globo drone recorded the conversation between them in the external area of the house where Bolsonaro was under house arrest in Brasília (DF). During the meeting, Nikolas used his cell phone, which was prohibited by STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes in the rules for visiting the former president. ‘We received with absolute astonishment the attitude of Globo Network, which used a drone to invade a private environment, filming without authorization a former President of the Republic and a parliamentarian. It is a serious violation of privacy, totally incompatible with any minimum standard of journalistic ethics,’ said the deputy in a statement. According to Nikolas, ‘the episode reveals more about the invasive conduct of the broadcaster than about the one who was clandestinely filmed’.
