Tesla unexpectedly terminated its contract with contractor MPW Industrial Services at its massive Giga Texas plant in Austin. As a result, 82 employees of the subcontractor, including technicians, supervisors, and managers, are left jobless. According to reports, the decision to end the contract came as a surprise to many, especially after Tesla had already laid off 2,000 employees in 2024.
