French cinema icon, known as B.B., abandoned her career in the 1970s to dedicate herself to animal rights activism. She lives between her famous residence, La Madrague, in Saint-Tropez, southern France, and a second house further inland, La Garrigue, which houses animals and a private chapel. In an interview with BFMTV in May, she stated that she lived as ‘a farmer,’ surrounded by her animals, and had ‘neither cellphone nor computer’. According to the Daily Mail, Bardot was hospitalized three weeks ago, and her health status has not been officially detailed. Sources close to the artist reported that she was at her home in Saint-Tropez when she needed to be transferred urgently. The doctors responsible for her treatment confirmed that the actress is recovering well, but will continue to be monitored in the coming weeks. Bardot’s representatives have not yet publicly commented on the case.
