Nissan has announced the recall of 41,973 2025 model year Sentra vehicles due to a windshield defect. Bubbles in the air have been found in the lamination layer on cars produced between July 5 and October 17, 2025. If they are located less than 13 mm from the edge of the glass, they violate FMVSS 205 requirements and impair visibility. The defect was discovered at the Aguascalientes II plant in Mexico during a summer audit. Glass supplier Vitro and Nissan specialists conducted tests confirming delamination: particles and air were getting between the glass layers and the PVB film.
