Al-Hilal tries to back out, but Marcos Leonardo stands firm for São Paulo

São Paulo has set up an operation to finalize Marcos Leonardo’s signing and prevent the Arabs from backing out. What happened: Al-Hilal had already released the player for negotiations but tried to backtrack at the last minute. As of Sunday night, São Paulo was still negotiating the formal release of the forward with the club. Marcos Leonardo stood firm on the loan and chose São Paulo. When the Arabs tried to cancel the deal, the forward was already determined to return to Brazil on loan and play in the Libertadores.
