Midfielder-forward Alvaro Montoro has been called up by the Argentine national team for the U-20 World Cup and could be absent from Botafogo for up to a month in the Brazilian Championship. The squad was announced on Thursday night (9/18). Montoro could miss Botafogo’s next game on Saturday against Atletico-MG at Nilton Santos Stadium as the national team gathers in Buenos Aires on Friday (19). The U-20 World Cup is set to take place in Chile from September 27 to October 19. Argentina is in Group D with Australia, Cuba, and Italy, starting their campaign against Cuba on September 28 in Playa Ancha.
