Anac to include discussion on checked baggage in project against hand luggage fees

According to Anac President Tiago Chagas Faierstein, the goal is to end the legal uncertainty surrounding the subject, which hampers the entry of new companies in Brazil, especially low-cost ones, with cheaper fares and fewer onboard services. He made the statement on Thursday evening following the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta’s social media post announcing the urgent vote on Congresswoman Da Vitória’s project. Motta labeled the hand luggage fee ‘absurd.’ The Anac President said they have engaged Anac’s technical areas to assist Congress in guiding the issue and also addressing checked baggage.
