Antonio García, Spanish soccer coach in Indonesia, 49 years old: A journey marked by passion and learning

The journey has undoubtedly been filled with a myriad of anecdotes. One particularly poignant moment was securing Vietnam’s qualification for the 2021 Futsal World Cup. The preparation included a match in Córdoba, Antonio’s hometown, against the local team. It was a heartwarming experience to return after almost two years without setting foot in Spain and see his family and friends in the stands amidst the pandemic. The occasion combined the aspiration for a World Cup and the reunion with loved ones, marking perhaps the most beautiful moment in his career. While Córdoba remains home, Antonio is content to continue embracing this current phase, deriving more gains than losses from this life abroad.
