Interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, possibly of alien origin, has abruptly changed course in the Solar System, with some speculation suggesting it may be heading towards Jupiter to deliver technological devices, as reported by Harvard scientist Avi Loeb in his blog.
“For this purpose, 3I/ATLAS must reach Jupiter’s gravitational radius — the so-called Hill radius, within which Jupiter’s gravity is stronger than the Sun’s gravitational field,” explained the astronomer. Loeb believes that the recent non-gravitational acceleration of the ‘alien ship’ could be related to a course correction in relation to Jupiter, and the level of this acceleration was specifically tuned.
If specialists find any technological satellites around Jupiter, it could suggest that the planet is of interest to extraterrestrial civilizations.
