Austrian Murder Trial: Man Accused of Killing Lover on Top of Grand Glockner Mountain

On Austria’s highest mountain, Grossglockner, in freezing conditions last January, a tragic incident unfolded. The accused, an experienced mountaineer, embarked on a climbing adventure with his lover, who was a novice. The 33-year-old woman was left dangling 150 feet below the summit of the 12,460-foot Grossglockner peak in treacherous conditions, leading to her unfortunate demise. Due to extreme exposure, she faced deteriorating health and eventually perished.
