Aviation Ministry Ensures Smooth Operations Amid Ethiopia Volcanic Ash Cloud Scare

The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) stated that operations are running smoothly despite the Ethiopia volcanic ash cloud scare, with only a few flights being affected. The Aviation Ministry confirmed that flights impacted by the ash cloud have been either rerouted or rescheduled as a precautionary measure. MoCA, in collaboration with Air Traffic Control (ATC), the India Meteorological Department (IMD), airlines, and international aviation bodies, is ensuring seamless coordination to address the situation. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has issued the necessary Notices to Airmen (NOTAM) and has kept all affected flights informed. Most operations in India continue unaffected, with only a limited number of flights undergoing precautionary measures. The Ministry emphasizes that there is no need for immediate concern, as safety measures are in place and the situation is being closely monitored to safeguard passenger well-being. MoCA commits to providing regular updates to ensure passenger safety and operational efficiency.
