AVTOVAZ continues to work on the project of a new station wagon. Despite AVTOVAZ’s difficult situation and sales decline, the RGD project continues to actively develop. As reported by Khadm channel, in six months, the first test samples of the new station wagon should appear at the plant, ready for road tests. If the tests are successful, the project will be unstoppable – with a 99% chance of the model hitting the market. According to sources, the base configuration of the station wagon will be comparable to the LADA Granta Standard Plus level, meaning the minimum version will not include air conditioning, audio system, rear headrests, or even a luggage compartment cover, all for a maximum affordable price of around 1 million rubles.
