Bank Indonesia and Forjukafi Collaborate to Boost Sharia Economic Literacy for Journalists

Journalists from various media outlets in Jabodetabek attended a Training of Trainers (ToT) on Sharia Economics and Finance, organized by Bank Indonesia (BI) in collaboration with the Indonesian Wakaf and Zakat Journalist Forum (Forjukafi) at the Sari Pacific Hotel in Jakarta on November 14-15, 2025. The training aimed to broaden Sharia economic literacy among the media and increase understanding of national Sharia finance developments. Imam Hartono, Head of Bank Indonesia’s Sharia Economics and Finance Department, emphasized the crucial role of the media in strengthening the Sharia economic ecosystem. ‘Journalists play a crucial role in bringing Sharia economics closer to the public. Proper literacy will help the younger generation understand and implement these concepts in their daily lives,’ said Imam on Friday, November 14, 2025.
