Bareskrim’s Anti-Drug Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba) successfully intercepted the distribution of narcotics linked to Malaysia and Indonesia by confiscating a total of 8 kilograms of methamphetamine. The operation was the result of cooperation with Dumai Customs Office. Subsequent police investigation and surveillance led to the arrest of suspects AP (31) and M (35) at Indomaret Pinggir 532 Duri. The suspects were caught with the drugs hidden in blue Chinese tea packaging resembling tigers. The car used in the drug transaction, a black Toyota Avanza, was chased by the police along the Dumai-Pekanbaru toll road before being stopped at Indomaret Pinggir 532 parking lot. Two men inside the car were detained along with the drugs and other evidence, which were brought to the national police headquarters for further examination.
