Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SIC) Alexander Bastrykin requests permission to initiate criminal cases against six judges. The information is indicated in the agenda of the Supreme Qualification Collegium of Judges (SQCJ). Additionally, the Collegium will address the issue of terminating the resignation of Judge Alexander Chernov, Chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Court. According to a source, the meeting of the SQCJ will be personally attended by Igor Krasnov, the Chairman of the Supreme Court, who has taken an active role in purging the judiciary of corrupt influence. On November 24, considerations will be made regarding the consent to initiate a case against Judge Adam Vojtlelev from the Shovgenov District Court in Adygea and Deputy Chairman Olga Petrova from the Leninsky District Court in Kursk. They are accused of crimes under Article 290, Part 6 of the Criminal Code (accepting bribes on an especially large scale).
