BCCI names India’s squad for U19 Asia Cup; Ayush Mhatre appointed captain

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s squad for the Men’s U19 Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Ayush Mhatre from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has been appointed as the captain, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi from Rajasthan Royals (RR) has also made it to the team. The tournament, scheduled for December 12 to 21, will see eight teams competing in the ODI format, featuring the full-member Asian nations along with qualifiers. The Junior Cricket Committee finalized India’s squad on November 28, appointing Ayush Mhatre as captain and Vihaan Malhotra as vice-captain. Kishan Kumar Singh’s inclusion is subject to fitness, with four standby players also named.
