Gujarat’s bureaucratic system is undergoing a major reshuffle. Senior IAS officer M.K. Das has been appointed as Gujarat’s Chief Secretary. Currently, he is actively serving as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
According to available information, the current Chief Secretary, Pankaj Joshi, is set to retire on October 31. After Pankaj Joshi’s retirement, M.K. Das will assume the role of the state’s Chief Secretary starting from November 1. It is worth noting that M.K. Das is a leading officer in the Gujarat cadre, and his role in the CMO is quite significant.
