Bihar Elections: First Phase of Voting Begins Today!

Today marks the beginning of the first phase of voting in 121 constituencies in Bihar. A total of 1,314 candidates are in the fray, with 3.75 crore voters expected to cast their votes. Of these, approximately 1.98 crore are male voters, while 1.77 crore are female voters. Notably, in this election, 7.38 lakh young voters will be participating for the first time. Additionally, 778 third gender voters are also part of the electorate. The state has a total of 45,341 polling stations set up for the voting process, with the highest number of 20 candidates contesting in the Muzaffarpur and Ghorasahan constituencies.
