Botafogo Announces Signing of Chris Ramos on Loan with Option to Buy

Botafogo officially announced on Friday (8/15) the signing of forward Chris Ramos from Cádiz. The Spanish player signed a loan deal with an option to buy with Botafogo until the end of June 2026. Ramos, who is already in Brazil, underwent medical exams and signed his contract with the club. A press conference to introduce the player will be scheduled soon.

The new number 9 for Botafogo, Chris Ramos, is 28 years old and is set for his first experience outside Spain, where he has spent his entire career. His most recent club was Cádiz, where in the 2024/2025 season, he scored ten goals and provided one assist in 38 matches.
