Brasileirão: Rollheiser strikes late as Santos beat Palmeiras and climb out of Z4

The crucial goal for Peixe was scored by Argentine Benjamín Rollheiser in the 46th minute of the second half. The alvinegro team now has 36 points and moved up to 16th place, pushing Vitória into Z4. On the other hand, Flamengo overtook Palmeiras in the Brazilian League table by thrashing Sport in their postponed match, with the alviverde team dropping to second place with 68 points as Mengão took the lead with 71 points. Fighting for the Brasileirão title, Verdão will return to the pitch next Wednesday (19) at 3:00 p.m. (Brasília time) to face Atlético-MG at Arena MRV in Belo Horizonte. Santos, on the other hand, will play at home on the same day, but at 9:30 p.m., against Mirassol.
