Brazil has reached the final of the Women’s Futsal World Cup. The spot was secured after a 4-1 victory over Spain in the semifinals on Friday (5). Unlike the other matches in the World Cup, the Brazilian team could not be extremely dominant in this game. With strong pressure from the Spanish team, the score was the lowest recorded by the Brazilians in the competition, along with the match against Iran in the group stage. The first goal of the match came just 50 seconds into the game. Ana Luiza capitalized on the goalkeeper Elena Gonzales’ rebound and sent the ball into the net. Only 10 seconds later, one minute into the game, Amandinha took advantage of a mistake by the opponents and doubled Brazil’s lead.
