Brazil to Conclude BRICS Presidency with People’s Summit in Rio

Brazil is set to conclude its BRICS Presidency with a significant event in Rio de Janeiro, where approximately 150 delegates representing 21 nations will convene from December 1 to 4. The primary goal of this meeting is to enhance the participation of civil society from the Global South in international governance processes. The gathering will take place at Armazem da Utopia in Rio, marking a milestone moment as the first official initiative of the newly formed BRICS People’s Civil Council. This meeting also represents the final large-scale activity during Brazil’s current term leading the BRICS group.
