If coach Carlo Ancelotti named yesterday the players who will represent Brazil in the friendly matches to prepare for the search for the sixth World Cup title, the Brazilian U-17 national team begins today the journey in pursuit of the fifth star. The team led by Carlos Eduardo Patetuci will face Honduras this Tuesday at 9:30am (Brasília time), in the first round of the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar. Four-time champion of the tournament (1997, 1999, 2003, and 2019), the Brazilian national team arrives with confidence in the World Cup. The team won the South American U-17 Championship in April, beating Colombia in a penalty shootout, with almost the same squad that is in Doha and comes from two big wins in the lead-up to the World Cup: 7-1 against Costa Rica and 5-0 against Mexico.
