The 26th edition of the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards took place on Thursday (13th) in Las Vegas, USA. Many Brazilian artists were honored at the event. Among them were Liniker, Luedji Luna, Jota.pê, João Gomes, and Mestrinho.
Liniker stood out, winning three trophies in the main categories: Best Contemporary Pop Album in Portuguese (“Caju”), Best Urban Performance in Portuguese (“Caju”), and Best Portuguese Language Song (“Veludo Marrom”). João Gomes, Mestrinho, and Jota.pê also received an award for Best Portuguese Language Roots Music Album (“Dominguinho”).
Luedji Luna was awarded for Best Brazilian Popular Music/Afro-Portuguese Brazilian Music Album (“Um Mar Pra Cada Um”). Sorriso Maroto won for Best Samba/Pagode Album (“Sorriso Eu Gosto No Pagode Vol. 3 – Homenagem Ao Fundo De Quintal”). Baianasystem received the award for Best Rock or Alternative Music Album in Portuguese (“O Mundo Dá Voltas”). Chitãozinho & Xororó won in the Best Sertanejo Music Album category (“José & Durval”).
In addition to the musical awards, the event also featured appearances by well-known artists such as Marina Sena, Angeles Toledano, Bobby Pulido, Kany García, Tiago Iorc, Trueno, Akapellah, Joy Huerta, and Andrés Cepeda. The Brazilian duo Roberto Barreto and Russo Passapusso from BaianaSystem were also among the winners, posing with their Grammy Awards.
Overall, the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards showcased the diversity and talent of Brazilian artists, highlighting their significant contributions to the music industry.
