New Delhi: During their recent meeting in New York, the BRICS Foreign Ministers strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025. They reiterated their firm commitment to fighting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, condemning Israel’s aggression against Qatar. Additionally, the ministers expressed worry over the increasing trade protectionism that hinders global trade flows. Chaired by India, the meeting highlighted priorities for 2026, such as enhancing food security and advancing digital transformation initiatives. The ministers also reiterated their support for reforming the UN Security Council and for strengthening the cooperation within BRICS.
