BRICS nations unite against Pahalgam attack, call for unified approach against terrorism

New York: BRICS nations, including Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), have come together to denounce the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the tragic loss of 26 innocent lives. They described the attack as ‘criminal and unjustifiable’. The group also highlighted the importance of adopting a unified stance against terrorism without falling into double standards. This statement is seen as a veiled criticism of countries like Pakistan. In their joint declaration, BRICS reiterated their commitment to combatting terrorism in a coordinated manner.
