Minister Flávio Dino of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) has scheduled the trial of the five accused of planning the murder of councilwoman Marielle Franco (PSOL) and driver Anderson Gomes for February 25 and 26 next year. The analysis will take place in person, at the STF’s First Chamber. The scheduling request was made by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, the rapporteur of the case at the Court. The defendants in the criminal action are the ousted federal deputy Chiquinho Brazão, TCE-RJ councilor Domingos Brazão, former Chief of Civil Police in Rio Rivaldo Barbosa, military police officer Ronald Paulo Alves Pereira, and former TCE-RJ advisor Robson Calixto da Fonseca.
