Celebrating the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday Tradition in Indonesia, Kuah Beulangong-Bungo Lado

In Indonesia, Muslim communities have unique traditions to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. In Aceh, the ‘Maulid Nabi’ celebration is commonly held on the 12th day of Rabiul Awal by cooking a special dish known as ‘Kuah Beulangong-Bungo Lado.’ This dish is made from jackfruit cooked with a spicy chili sauce, and it is shared with the community as a form of charity and togetherness.
