The rain and wind over the weekend caused damage in different regions of Rio Grande do Sul. The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued five alerts for the state, with one being of a red severity level. According to the State Civil Defense, among the municipalities that reported damage in the last hours are Arroio Grande in the Southern Region, Maçambará in the Western Border, Segredo in the Vale do Rio Pardo, Soledade in the Northern Region, and Guaporé in the Serra region. The Inmet communication, valid until 10 a.m. on Sunday (21), indicates ‘great danger’ of wind gusts above 100 km/h and up to 100 millimeters of rain. It covers parts of the Western Border, Campanha, Vale do Rio Pardo, and the Central and Southern regions of the state.
