Authorities in Chennai are pushing for a special revision drive of voter lists in polling stations, similar to the one conducted by the Election Commission as per sources. The first phase of the voter list revision work began on the 4th and will continue until December 4. To facilitate this, booth level officers are conducting house-to-house verification of voter details. This process is currently happening in various states, and Tamil Nadu is ahead in the verification and return of forms. Concerns arise over completing the process of verification and updating addresses, leading to certain issues.
