China is gearing up for a large-scale military parade to commemorate the victory of the war against Japan, and in the past few days, there have been circulating images of Chinese military equipment transport on social media platforms. The Chinese military revealed that this parade will feature main combat aircraft that have never been showcased before.
The parade, scheduled for September 3, will mark the victory in the war against Japan in 1945, with Chinese President Xi Jinping set to review the troops and deliver a speech in Tiananmen Square. On the 70th anniversary of the Victory of the War of Resistance in 2015, China also held a large-scale military parade in Tiananmen Square.
The Chinese Parade Leading Group announced on Wednesday, August 20, during a press conference at the State Council that the event will last about 70 minutes, divided into two stages: the parade and the formation display.
